Dear Coffee Lovers,

First, we would like to say thank you for your years of support. Without you we would not be able to do the job we love: roasting coffee, and giving back 2% of sales to our nonprofit partners. 

Unfortunately, due to rising green bean costs we are forced to issue a price adjustment. The club prices will look as follows beginning May 1st 2025:

• The 2lb Club and the 32 Pod Club will now be $45.99 ($1.44/oz) with FREE Shipping.
• The 3lb Club and the 48 Pod Club will now be $63.49 ($1.32/oz) with FREE Shipping.
• The 4lb Club and the 64 Pod Club will now be $75.99 ($1.19/oz) with FREE Shipping.

Why the Change?

Severe climate events in Brazil and Vietnam have decreased global supply two years in a row. Threats of tariffs have spooked markets which increases commodity speculation. From November 1st 2024 to today the commodity price for coffee has risen by more than 60%. This is an unprecedented spike in the commodity price and one that we cannot cover without a price increase.

It is our hope that at some point in 2026 the commodity price for coffee will return to the historical mean and at that point we could look at a price cut. 

While we’re disappointed to raise our prices, it is important to note that all coffee roasters are facing these economic challenges. If you have not noticed a steep increase in the cost of store-bought coffee, you will see that in the coming weeks. Also, we are still very competitive on the per ounce rate when compared to our competitors. Most of our competitors sell their coffee in 10oz or 12oz bags and charge shipping. Dear Coffee Lovers,

First, we would like to say thank you for your years of support. Without you we would not be able to support our farmers by paying above the fair trade rate and giving back 2% to our nonprofit partners. 

As you all know, we have been fighting inflation for the past 4 years. In 2022 we had to increase our prices due to labor costs, commodity prices on green beans, and unusual increases in transport costs. Since 2022 our company has been able to grow – thanks to coffee lovers like you sharing us with your friends and family. This growth has helped to offset some of our increased costs since 2022. We are grateful to be able to hold off on a price increase for the past two and a half years.

Having said all of that we have encountered some unique challenges in 2024. Unprecedented droughts in Brazil and Vietnam  – the two largest producers of coffee – have caused the commodity price for green beans to go up a dollar per pound within 2024 alone. Additionally, harvest yields in Papua New Guinea are down for the first time in our 25 years of roasting coffee. Papua New Guinea has also had some challenges this year in getting organic certifications on their harvest. As many of you know, we roast a lot of coffee from Papua New Guinea. All of these issues have put pressure on our sourcing and green bean costs. 

For us to keep up with these rising green bean costs and maintain the quality you have come to expect over the past 25 years, we must increase our prices.

The new pricing will take effect December 1st, 2024.

The club prices will look as follows:

• The 2lb Club and the 32 Pod Club will now be $42.99 ($1.34/oz) with FREE Shipping.
• The 3lb Club and the 48 Pod Club will now be $58.99 ($1.23/oz) with FREE Shipping.
• The 4lb Club and the 64 Pod Club will now be $69.99 ($1.09/oz) with FREE Shipping.

While we are disappointed to have to raise our prices again, it is important to note that we are still very competitive on the per ounce rate when compared to our competitors. Most of our competitors sell their coffee in 10oz or 12oz bags and charge shipping. We’re proud to provide you with fast, free shipping on all club shipments.

We have been in the process of changing our payment processor. This transition took place yesterday, February 7th, 2024. We learned this morning that the charges on your statement for your order today, February 8th, 2024, are showing “Frozen Xplosion”. This charge is actually us, Camano Island Coffee Roasters.

Frozen Xplosion is one of our sister-brands that we operate  to sell our frappe/smoothie line to wholesale accounts like coffee shops and restaurants.

We are working with our new payment processor to get this updated so that you will only see Camano Island Coffee Roasters when you place an order with Camano Island Coffee Roasters.

Dear Coffee Lovers,

First, we would like to say thank you for your years of support. Without you we would not be able to support our farmers by paying above the fair trade rate and giving back 2% to our nonprofit partners. 

Last year we unfortunately had to raise our prices due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Large cost increases were levied for green beans and shipping from the USPS and Fedex. When we raised our prices we did so with the hope that the market would slow down in 2022 and not require another price increase.

Since the start of the year inflation has risen at a rate that we did not anticipate. The cost increases from the first 4 months of 2022 are larger than our cost increases for the whole of 2021. For example, it is costing twice as much in transport costs for us to bring in our top-selling beans from Papua New Guinea. The shipping companies will not book trips to the Port of Seattle, and as a result shipments are being redirected to Houston and New Jersey. This adds further transport and fuel costs for trucking to get the beans across the country to Camano Island. Our bags, labels, boxes, and anything else requiring fuel have also increased substantially. 

For us to keep up with these rising costs we are forced to increase our per lb rate for our clubs. We hope that these changes will be temporary and that the coffee market and transport costs will go back to normal, but we cannot know if or when that will happen.

Our prices will be increasing by $1 per lb. The new pricing will take effect June 13th, 2022.

The club prices will look as follows:

• The 2lb Club and the 32 Pod Club will now be $40.99 ($1.28/oz) with FREE Shipping.
• The 3lb Club and the 48 Pod Club will now be $55.99 ($1.17/oz) with FREE Shipping.
• The 4lb Club and the 64 Pod Club will now be $66.99 ($1.05/oz) with FREE Shipping.

While we are disappointed to have to raise our prices again, it is important to note that we are still very competitive on the per ounce rate when compared to our competitors. 

• Non organic Black Rifle Coffee – $1.42/oz plus shipping fees
• Organic Olympia Coffee Roasters – $1.33/oz plus shipping fees
• Organic French Roast Caffe Vita – $1.58/oz plus shipping fees
